Glad I didn’t read any of the negative reviews. The pulled pork was some of the best I’ve ever had and the brisket and ribs were good as well. I’ll be enjoying all of them for lunch as well. The service was excellent and fast.

We came from Tx to try some Missouri bbq, and it did not disappoint! From the homemade ranch to the smell and taste of smoke on the meat. So glad we found this gem tucked away in Joplin. Wish we had had room for the pie!

Stopped by to try this great BBQ and pie! Great family vibe with awesome decor. Got a flight of local beers and the "Best Brisket Sandwich" which did not disappoint. The fried mushrooms were amazing and perfectly crisp! The rolls? Warm and melt in your mouth good! If you're in the area and want a clean, kind, atmosphere come on over to Big R's BBQ & Pies!

Still an AMAZING place to eat! Worth the drive if you are a foodie! GIANT Chicken Fried Steak. Great onion rings, smoked turkey, strawberry cheesecake pie, really nothing was bad all worth the dollar! Outstanding service from “Lacy” - plan to spend because you will want all the things from appetizers to dessert! Save room take a box or two home! lol

Came last night for the first time to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and this place was AMAZING!! Definitely going to be our new place when we visit Joplin! The brisket was so good and FRIED BROCCOLI ??? Yes please! The amount of food you get for what you pay is really good!! Lacy was a wonderful waitress with great communication! Thanks again for everything!!

Came in for half-price appetizer night and to grab some of their amazing pie! new on the menu is the Sloppy John. A little sweet. A little salty. And a little bit of kick with the jalapenos. Excellent service from one of the owners, Eli. Enjoyed butterscotch cream pie for dessert. Left a tip.

Happened to end up in Joplin, MO during a road trip and stopped at this place after seeing the billboard sign. The food was amazing, with savory flavor. French fry stacks sliced fresh to order. The mushrooms are made fresh and the beer batter is light crispy and flavorful. This place is busy on Friday nights so it wouldnt be a bad idea for reservations. If you end up in Joplin stop at this place you wont leave hungry.
